Booking, Cancellation & Travel Policy

This policy outlines the booking terms, payment conditions, cancellation rules, and responsibilities for all tours provided by China Insight Travel. By confirming a booking, you agree to the terms below.

Cancellation Policy

All refunds apply to payments actually made by the customer, whether a deposit, partial payment, or full payment. Refund amounts will be calculated according to the cancellation policy below, based on the amount already paid at the time of cancellation.

One-Time Free Date Change Benefit

  • One free date change is available if requested 10 days or more before departure, subject to availability of guides, vehicles, hotels, attraction tickets, and local experiences.
  • Any fare differences or additional costs for hotels, tickets, transportation, guides, or experiences will be the customer’s responsibility.
  • For change requests made within 10 days of departure, we will do our best to assist, but additional charges may apply.

Transparent Cost Promise

If any non-refundable third-party costs have already been incurred, such as hotels, train tickets, flights, show tickets, real-name attraction tickets, special activities, holiday-season non-cancellable rooms, or payment/bank fees, we will clearly itemise them before processing your refund.

FAQ about refund

Changes & Rescheduling

  • Changes to the itinerary are allowed up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability.
  • Minor adjustments during the trip will be supported whenever possible.
  • Additional costs caused by changes (such as ticket differences or hotel upgrades) will be borne by the traveller.
  • Rescheduling requests made within 7 days of departure may not be guaranteed.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any changes, delays, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, epidemics or public health events, and transportation disruptions.

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to adjust the itinerary or provide alternative solutions, but additional costs may apply.

Travel Responsibilities

  • Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and required travel documents.
  • Travellers must comply with local laws and regulations.
  • We are not liable for losses caused by personal negligence, including missed flights or lost belongings.

Complaints & Disputes

  • Any issues during the trip should be reported immediately so we can resolve them as soon as possible.
  • If a complaint arises after the trip, it must be submitted in writing within 15 days after completion.
  • Disputes will first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If unresolved, they may be submitted to arbitration under applicable laws.
